KKday has partnered with Tabelog to offer real-time reservations for over 42,000 restaurants across Japan, catering to foreign visitors.

KKday Japan (headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, with branch manager Kohei Ōbuchi) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tabelog, Japan's largest restaurant search and reservation service operated by Kakaku.com, Inc. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, with CEO Atsuhiko Murakami). This collaboration enables foreign visitors to Japan to make real-time reservations at over 42,000 restaurants nationwide.

According to data from the first to third quarters of 2024, KKday's sales of Japanese experience products have continued to be popular, with a 40% year-on-year increase in searches for "food experiences." In particular, searches for food experiences that can be booked online have increased significantly, indicating a strong demand among foreign visitors to Japan for online booking of food experiences.

In response to this demand, KKday has partnered with Tabelog to start offering online reservation services for popular restaurants to foreign visitors in Japan, launching a new service that seamlessly connects activity experiences with dining experiences.

Furthermore, according to data from the Japan National Tourism Organization, one of the common problems faced by foreign visitors in Japan is dining, especially communication difficulties. Through this collaboration, Tabelog's rich restaurant information combined with KKday's system, which supports 16 languages and 16 currencies (17 languages and 17 currencies including Japanese), enables foreign visitors to make online reservations in their native language and complete transactions by displaying electronic tickets, thus reducing the inconvenience caused by language barriers and allowing them to easily enjoy Japanese cuisine.

In addition, KKday's Taiwan office held a press conference on October 15, 2024 (Tuesday).

At the press conference, in-depth discussions were held on travel and dining experience trends, sharing the benefits of the partnership and the vision for meeting the increasing needs of visitors to Japan in the future. Branch Manager Kohei Ōbuchi stated that this collaboration can bring Japan's rich food culture to more foreign tourists, and KKday will continue to strengthen its partnership with Tabelog.

At the same time, Takumi Honike, Senior Executive Officer of Kakaku.com, also stated that the restaurant information provided by this collaboration can expand the choices for foreign visitors to Japan, providing a great opportunity for restaurants in Japan to expand their international customer base.
