Lohas Green Hotel Group Partners with Huarui Green EnergySigns 10-Year MOU for 300 Million kWh of Green Energy to Advance Toward RE100

Chairman Hsieh Hsien-Chih of Lohas Green Hotel Group and Chairman Chen Chien-Hung of Huarui Green Energy have jointly signed an MOU for green energy procurement, committing to purchasing a total of 300 million kWh of renewable energy over the next decade. This marks a significant step toward achieving the RE100 goal. Lohas Green Hotel Group operates 13 hotels in Taipei, with half of its guests being Japanese travelers who prioritize high-quality travel experiences. With the anticipated return of Chinese tourists to Taiwan, the group expects further growth in operations. In addition to solidifying its presence in the Greater Taipei area, the group plans to expand into central and southern Taiwan while continuing to implement smart technologies such as robotic services and self-check-in kiosks. The collaboration with Huarui Green Energy to adopt green energy not only reduces the carbon footprint but also encourages guests to use public transportation, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Huarui Green Energy has been deeply involved in the solar energy sector for many years. Through long-term agreements with agrivoltaic and aquavoltaic project sites as well as renewable energy developers, Huarui provides stable and diverse green energy supplies for corporate clients. Executive Director Wang Hsiao-Fang emphasized that companies can sign long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Huarui for periods ranging from 3 to 15 years. These agreements not only ensure stable energy supply but also help companies achieve their carbon reduction and RE100 targets ahead of schedule. With Huarui’s comprehensive capabilities in green energy supply, financial planning, and grid connectivity, combined with Lohas Green Hotel Group’s operational scale, the partnership is poised to become a model for integrating sustainable green energy into Taiwan’s tourism industry.
