U.S.-based speech AI startup Seasalt.ai has completed a NT$130 million (approximately USD 4.2 million) seed funding round led by Unlock Venture Partners, with participation from SparkLabs Taiwan, Grand Vision Ventures, PatientsForce, and Japan's LINE Corporate Venture Capital (ZVC). Seasalt.ai specializes in multilingual speech and text processing technology and has expanded its services to industries such as travel, finance, and healthcare, including notable clients like Lion Travel and Cathay Financial Holdings.
Its flagship product, SeaMeet, is a meeting assistant that automatically transcribes and generates meeting minutes and to-do lists. Meanwhile, the SeaChat intelligent customer service system can deploy multilingual AI customer support for businesses in just 10 minutes, integrating LINE platforms and phone services to meet global client needs. ZVC recognizes Seasalt.ai's technical strength in handling mixed Chinese-English language processing, viewing it as a game-changer for Taiwanese businesses relying on LINE as a customer service channel. The funding will help Seasalt.ai deepen its presence in the Taiwanese market and lay the groundwork for its Series A funding and international expansion by 2025.
