On December 9, Taiwan Mobile (3045) held the "2024 Taiwan Mobile AI Empowerment Innovation Forum," attended by Deputy Minister of the National Development Council, Fang-Guan Zhan, who provided guidance. The event brought together diverse partners such as Google Cloud, LINE Taiwan, Partipost, DottedGlobal, Nuwa Robotics, and Ocard, along with over 250 SMEs, to explore AI transformation opportunities in the post-pandemic era.
Taiwan Mobile's CEO, Lin Zhi-Chen, highlighted that Taiwan's 1.67 million SMEs are the backbone of the nation’s economy. Facing labor shortages and a global digital wave, Taiwan Mobile has partnered strategically to offer a one-stop "OP Shop Package" solution. This helps SMEs adopt AI applications, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen marketing strategies. Examples include LINE Taiwan's AI voice booking service, completing reservations within 60 seconds; DottedGlobal's online ordering and payment system; Ocard's precise analysis of member consumption behavior; Partipost's micro-influencer marketing strategies; and Google Cloud's AI and cloud technologies supporting digital transformation and carbon reduction goals.
Lin Der-Wei, Vice President of Taiwan Mobile’s SME Business Division, noted that in 2024, the "OP Shop Package" saw a 208% year-on-year increase in customer numbers and a 225% year-on-year increase in revenue, underscoring strong market demand for AI applications. Looking ahead to 2025, Taiwan Mobile plans to double its number of partners, deepen its ecosystem’s capabilities, and expand into industries such as food and beverage, wholesale and retail, beauty and wellness, and long-term care. The aim is to assist more SMEs in embracing the AI era, achieving stable operations, and progressing toward sustainable development.
